former Eagle's player Beth Daniels return's to coach WRLA open age team this winter

Whilst coach the Kirsty Mills continues to lead the open age ladies through the final games of the current summer league season, West Leeds Eagles are pleased to announce that two new coaches have returned to the club in preparation to guide the West Leeds Ladies through the WRLA winter league season. The club are pleased to welcome the return of former player Beth Daniels, who will be joined by Mick Powell as assistance coach.

Beth, who began playing at West Leeds, was always a favourite at the Eagles. She was forced to retire from playing due to injury. She is a former Yorkshire County cap, and was a member of the side which won the WRLA Second Division Championship title in 2017. She marked her final season as a member of the team which won the WRLA Plate final, when they triumphed over Sedbegh at Featherstone.

Both have excellent knowledge of the game and are much respected throughout the women's game. All at the club look forward to having them at our club for the new winter season.

WEST LEEDS LADIES ARE RECRUITING NOW, minimum age 16, no experience necessary - currently training Mondays and Wednesdays at 7pm
