It Can Only Get Better For This Squad Of Youngsters

Coach's of successful teams rarely ever receive the recognition they deserve, and it’s not something they really care for, they keep themselves to themselves, usually in the background, doing their 'own thing', going about their business in their own way. But from time to time, its always nice for a club to praise the background team which is so important to the players and smooth running of a squad. It's not only players who need to be acknowledged, but those who work hard off the field, and those whom players look for guidance, motivation and encouragement, especially when its not going as planned. They need a guiding influence to help them through. We see this week in and week out from coach's of all age groups.

But let's take time out so we can add our appreciation to those who have guided the Boy's under 15's to three cup finals, advancement in the league and some great victories over some very good teams. We are talking about Craig Boot, Jazz Chana, and Scott Mclachlan. Three people we hear little about, but have given so much in time and expertise over the years.

2018 saw the, then under 14's, boys team become the first team in the clubs history to develop not just one, but seven full time scholarships with Super League and Championship clubs.
Now, 2019 has barely started, and it just gets better, as we currently we have Jack Boot and Courage King on trial with Wakefield Trinity, and Owen Gath is currently on trial with Featherstone Rovers, and Jack Johnson has become heavily linked with a scholarship at Leeds Rhinos.
Eleven out of twenty lads are raining with Professional Clubs. Its quite an achievement.
