An established and experienced Albion side are guided home with great half back performance

Once again the team travelled with just 13 players, including a new player in Sarah, and we welcomed back ClaireGomersalle into the squad as well after a long lay off. Both players made good contributions to the game, and a big thank you to both for stepping up last minute to help us out.
There were plenty of positives to take from this game, we saw positive signs of heart, passion and determination. We simply lacked a little bit of experience, and in contrast we were playing against some very experienced and established Keighley half backs who ran the show for them. We managed to get to 60 minutes at 24-10 but after that I think we simply ran out of steam. Some big performances today from everyone but a few I want to highlight.
Player of the match was Brogan Townsley-Parker who had a phenomenal work rate today and quite frankly was involved in everything, she made good yards after contact and fought hard to ensure a quick PTB, and her tackling at times was absolutely ferocious!!
Coaches Award goes to Lucy Butterfield Pez had a slow start to the game, but after a good shot ten minutes into the game became a woman possessed, and made two very crucial tackles causing turn overs and helped swing the momentum of the first half in our favour. By far her best personal performance of the season so far.
I also want to make a mention to Crystal Victoria Hearsum who really came into her own today. It may be down to lack of numbers, or simply persistence in wanting to do better, but she put in a very good performance, only notched five tackles on the statistics sheet, but was third defender in helping finish the tackles on at least a further seven or eight occasions! She also came very close to a line break with some good footwork at the advantage line.

Match Statistics:
Top Tacklers: Brogan TP with 22, Sarah Barford with 16, Sam Trenaman with 15, and Jacks with 13. Jimmy & Pez with 11 a piece.
