Under 14s girls
West Leeds Eagles vs Hull KR
In the opening minutes of the game, Emily scored over the line out on the wing from 20 meters out. Great knowledge of where everyone was. The girls saw the gap in the defences and acted on it immediately. Emily was unable to convert leaving the score 4-0, 5 minutes in.
The attacking from all the girls was sensational. Lizzy powered through the Hull KR defence and scored a great try.
The Eagles made sure that there would be no Hull KR comeback with another try by Emily right underneath the sticks with a successful conversion leaving the score at 14-0.
Hull KR were determined to get the win back after they scored a try in the last 10 minutes of the first half. Eagles got their heads back in the game we’re eager to fight back. The girls showed great defence on Hull KR’s try line. In the fourth tackle, Hull slid over and scored a try to the right of the sticks. A successful conversion left the score at 14-10,
Abigail scored 2 try running three quarters of the pitch. Her speed and acceleration created gaps in the defence line and slid over the try line.
Unfortunately the game had to be abandoned due to the serious injury to a Hull KR player. We wish the player a speedy recovery from everyone at West Leeds.
